Info

After an EP called “Thanatos” in 2013, the duo behind Sarcoptes, Garrett Garvey and Sean Zimmerman signed a deal with Cimmerian Shade Recordings and started working on new material. And here you have it; “Songs and Dances of Death”. It is a blend of everything within extreme metal; typical Symphonic and Melodic Black Metal – mid/late 1990s keyboard usage (Cradle of Filth, Heacate Enthroned, Dimmu Borgir), Thrash Metal (just listen to the start of “The Fall of Constantinople”) and Death Metal. And most of the time at up-tempo speed. It has lots of twists and easily transforms from some Belphegor bombastic composition into a typical Morbid Angel passage. Interesting release because you won’t hear something like this that often. (Ricardo)
