This HatePlow is a project by Phil Fasciana and Rob Barrett, both of whom also play in Malevolent Creation. Also, Barrett recently played a stint in Cannibal Corpse.
It’s extreme US Death Metal that also leans somewhat towards Grind. People who like the aforementioned bands will wear this album out. You get 16 blistering-fast tracks thrown at you, including an extremely brutal cover of Cream’s ‘Sunshine of Your Love’. The lyrics are sometimes truly hilariously brilliant. Just check out the lyrics for, for example, ‘$20 Blowjob,’ ‘Ass to Mouth Resuscitation,’ and ‘Born with Both’. These contain an extremely high Pungent Stench-factor!
The sad news is that their drummer “Crazy” Larry died in a fire while trying to save his pet.
