A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Daan of Damnation Records recommended me this band and he never disappointed me before so this has to be a killer too! And hell-yeah, he was right again.

Gospel of the Horns are hailing from Australia, where many great bands come from and where they don’t wimp out, and playing some good Thrashing Black Metal. On their debut demo ‘Satanist’s Dream’, which was released in 1995, Celtic Frost was an influence for them. After the release of the demo they split up and Howitzer joined Deströyer 666 to abuse the drumkit.

Fortunately for us he has risen from the death with Gospel of The Horns while being the only original-band member in the new line-up. The sound and approach on these EP vary and some sound more Black Metal, but with a Thrash feel, and others sound more Thrash Metal with Black Metal influences.

My personal favourite is the title track which gives the perfect blend of Thrash and Black Metal and the main riff keeps haunting in my head and I bet it will haunt you too!
