Violent Hammer is a violent piece of equipment that only strikes a couple of times during their 16 years of existence. In both 2006 and 2007 demos were released, then a long pause…2014 a demo was recorded and released and a long pause again…et voila; the debut album “Riders of the Wasteland” was the next musical achievement. Black/Death Metal barbarity along with the crustiness of the 80s can be expected, the range from Archgoat, Profanatica and Bestial Summoning till early Napalm Death, Violent Hammer uses it in their savage 25 minutes grinded-up attempt called “Riders of the Wasteland”.
A fair listen, but not “repeat”-material in my book. (Ricardo)
