Sacrifizer is a Blackened Speed/Thrash band from France that has been gaining attention since their EP ‘La Mort Triomphante’ (2019). The track ‘Ascent to the Black Throne’ successfully showcases what I mentioned before, immediately hitting you with a beating of riffs and drums that strike like a grotesque assault, along with a demonic vocal that scares off the weak. Sacrifizer also incorporates the use of synthesizers in this album, along with a dynamic approach to melancholic riffs played at extremely high speeds, leaving you in a state of pure euphoria, headbanging until you can’t take it anymore. Sacrifizer demonstrates throughout the album its devotion to the Old School, bringing diverse elements while always keeping the classic feel, without losing the essence of what old-school metal truly is. The unpolished production highlights the ’80s-inspired extremity — wild and untamed in every aspect.
