A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Info

The second album of Mexican Black Metal act Fullmoon Tyrant, called ‘Wolfskin’, is one of those Black Metal albums that will appeal to those who enjoy a significant amount of  DSBM in their gloomy Black Metal, as well as a couple of synth/ambient intermezzos.

This power trio are inspired by acts like Nyktalgia, Abyssic Hate, Wigrid and Satanic Warmaster and you will get a good mix of these, as it has sharp sounding melodies, somber ambience and those common agonized vocals. All wrapped in a clear yet bleak sound which fits the style quite well. For fans of covers you will find Summoning’s ‘Like Some Snow-white Marble Eyes’ of their ’Stronghold’ album with vocals that are less aggrieved than on the rest of the album.

Ultimately, a solid album. Give it a listen if you’re a fan of the aforementioned bands.
