A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

This Spanish duo of mystery (identified only as A.84 and L.77), Vaciø, and Morbid Shrine Productions released this fabulous EP, ‘Et Destituta Mortis’, back on June 21st of 2021. Making my review of it just a little bit late but sometimes actually showing up is all that really matters in the end. I’m here doing the thing. So let’s crack on.

‘Et Destituta Mortis’ is the debut release from Vaciø as a band but the experience of it’s members shines through in their art. Showing, self claimed, decades of experience, understanding and musicianship in this exquisite Melodic Black Metal EP.

This is quite exquisite Melodic Black Metal that may happen to come from Spain but somehow it feels much more like classic Swedish Black Metal with some truly lush, gorgeous modern production. And that’s really it. Three tracks of some really good well written, expertly performed and precisely produced Melodic Black Metal. It’s good.
