Info

After a demo, an EP and 2 full-lengths, Neptrecus from France is back with their 3rd full-length effort called “Ars Gallica” which is filled with a mix of the French as well as the Swedish Black Metal scene.

Lots of variation when it comes to pace, melody and even melancholic leads from time to time. When it comes to atmosphere it is more in the dark and melancholic-category, without dipping their feet into the Doom-pool,  than the icy second wave riffs and melodies. The occasional French chant enhances the melancholy for sure and at the end this is one decent album. (Ricardo)
