Info

Symphonic Black Metal. Yeah, I know what you’re going to say…those fuckin’ keyboards with their prominent role in the sound, pushing riffs to background and providing a more clean production and therefore all the pureness of Black Metal disappears… I can only say to you; listen to Greve.

This EP is a perfect trip to end 1990s Black Metal played by Obtained Enslavement during “Witchcraft” and “Soulblight” as well as Mactätus during “Provenance of Cruelty”, only Greve has a tad more darkness in it. Very well written Black Metal with lots of variation and a melodic touch and although the keys are indeed prominent during the whole song, it is played in the right way.

According to me, the black souls Lik (ex-Bekëth Nexëhmü) and Swartadauþuz (Bekëth Nexëhmü, Musmahhu, Azelisassath and many others) created one hell of an EP, probably one of the best of 2019. Impressive!
