A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Info

‘Guerra Eterna’ is the fourth studio album from Peruvian Death Metal quartet Disinter. The album has been put out on CD by fellow Peruvian label War Ogre Records and is the follow up to 2020’s ‘Revelations from the Dark Past’ which was released by the same label. As you’d expect from a South American band, this is a rough and unpolished slab of Peruvian Death Metal that goes big when it comes to the sheer wall of noise it attempts to create. Impressive is the drumming display which moves swiftly between powerful, frenzies attack and slower, climactic impact. Of a more standard calibre are the riffs which whilst surging and urgent in their intense fury, are pretty standard fare for any Death Metal band, though they are still pretty brutal when combined with the drumming and the sturdy bass tones. the accented vocals are interesting though, coming across as devilishly maniacal throughout the album. Throw in a few guitar solos for a little panache and Disinter have put together a solid album of spice Death Metal ferocity. very much worth a listen in my view.
