Info

At first Italian Continuum of Xul released a demo digitally back in 2019, which got a tape version by both Dismal Fate Records and Desert Wastelands Productions later on. Those 3 tracks were re-used for a split with Abyss of Perdition and Clandestine Productions added an intro. In 2022 the ‘Falling into Damnation” EP saw the light of day…

Continuum of Xul doesn’t hide their musical influences for one bit, as ‘Falling into Damnation’ has the funk of Morbid Angel, Hate Eternal and Immolation all over it. The riffs, the song structures, the typical leads and howling of the lead guitar are the perfect “Exhibit A” during a murder trial. O.J. Simpson would kill for such strong evidence…

They have covered Morbid Angel’s ‘Visions from the Darkside’ on the demo, while their Morbid Angel influence on this EP is more ‘Domination’ and ‘Formulas Fatal to the Flesh’-like. For this EP they made the surprising but well-executed choice of Absu’s ‘A Equinox of Fathomless Disheartenment’ of their ’ Barathrum: V.I.T.R.I.O.L.’ debut.

Clearly an EP to check out for those who enjoy Azagthoth’s ingenuity and the aforementioned bands in general. This is possibly quite up your alley.
