Info

The UK’s Cavernous Records and Death/Doom quintet Consecration combine to produce a three track EP of reeking Death Metal savagery, mixed with the slow, unending menace of Doom Metal. Entitled’ Reanimated’, you could say that this was the bands attempt to reanimate themselves, as this is their first post-pandemic offering. Sporting a powerful display of slow, chugging riffs and deep, growled vocals, ‘Reanimated’ is a torturous grinding affair that doesn’t both itself with climbing out of second gear, when it knows full well it can unleash it’s full barbarity whilst moving at it’s own exacting pace!

Whilst this is technically an EP, coming in at just over twenty minutes in length, ‘Reanimated’ displays the cavernous riffs and oppressive atmosphere, mixed with the dirty, bleak production of an early 90’s demo tape. Three songs in truth can be hard to get a true grasp of  a band, but this EP gets you ready for the future, and an album to come that has the potential to be crushing! (Luke Hayhurst)
