Info

The fourth full-length album since their start in 1999 has been released by Swedish death metal band Aeon. It got the album title “Aeons Black” and has a duration of approximately 51 minutes. I can be short about this album…if you like the American death metal style, like Cannibal Corpse and old-school Deicide have unleashed at mankind, then “Aeons Black” is definitely an unique piece for you to have a listen at. Blastbeats, vocals, riffs and guitar play are all executed in speed modus and on a high technical level that leaves nothing left of your eardrums. Tommy Dahlström has a great death metal voice and the drum work from Arttu Malkki (yes, he has returned!) is outstanding. Not all songs are from great quality like for example “The Voice of the Accuser”, but happily there are plenty of great tracks to discover where the songwriting may be praised. My favorites are “I Wish You Dead”, “Garden of Sin” and “The Growing Hate” with an occult touch in them. This album is furious and brutal, so people with heart problems must be aware! (Fredde)
