Today we delve into the depths of the Chilean underground and descend into the dungeons of this horde about which there is not much information; we only know one damn name that is shackled to WampyrKult and it is B.Wampyr! Their first known work, or rather their first vomit-demo with which they attack the damned world, has been christened ‘Encerrado’.

The first thing that emerges once the damned attack ‘Ataúd’ is unleashed is the nauseating stench, the rottenness and the raw, direct power of Black Metal in its purest and most minimalist form. The narrative unfolds, screaming how flesh rots and chains rust with the stench of eras dead in time. ‘Ataúd’ is gagged almost halfway through its death march with sombre keyboards that blacken time and rhythm, dying under the agonizing gaze of three minutes and a few seconds.

The second attack was crowned with the project’s name and faithfully follows the path of its predecessor but with faster rhythms. All the pestilence it screamed is easily understood by the Latin and rotten ears of Black Metal. The rhythm is more intense, a sustained hammering, as if drilling into the head, with the broken nails and chains of the old coffin!

The third track, ‘Ritual’, attacks with even greater intensity, as if the hatred is now at its most overflowing and pure. The keyboard is now omnipresent, sucking the lifeblood from the vomited riffs! ‘Ritual’ ends with an outro that is a blasphemous continuation of the intro. Immediately afterwards, the attack that gives the demo its name rises with force, invoked with a drum roll, unleashing a diabolical rhythm that compels you to headbang to the galloping violence.

‘Encerrado’ is one of the shortest but most volatile tracks on the entire demo. This is why it is in my top list, as it offers no concessions or hope: only pestilence, speed, hatred and death screams! Towards the end of the journey, ‘La Venganza del Vampiro’ covers the trails on the black paths of the imposing Andes Mountains. This cursed ode to the revenge of the black legions thirsty for Christian blood gradually fades away over its four-minute duration, adorned with unexpected clean choirs that give it a bloody hymn-like quality, a touch of solemnity that I believe was what they were trying to inject into this ending.

‘Encerrado’ has everything you would expect from a Raw Black Metal demo,  Recommended for those who dwell in the raw, blasphemous black noises of Black Metal from the proudly southern lands!
