Channeling the primal sounds of early 90s Black Metal, Mystic Spear’s music is a haunting tapestry of ancient evil, woven with raw, uncompromising intensity. ‘Outer Darkness’ beholds variation in pace, from rapid riffing to gloomy mid-tempo unholy rites assisted by godless raspy vocals.
A well-executed salute towards the old school traditions of the genre and recommended for those who think the early Second Wave Black Metal still rules supreme. Black Metal Mysticism indeed!
