Nah, I will give you a bit of info…if you are familiar with Malsanctum you are or in the band yourself or you have bought one of the 300 cassettes of the demo “Metamorbid Fetishization” that was released by Iron Bonehead Productions as well in 2015. It was just one song of almost 25 minutes…so you probably can make the guess we’re dealing with Funeral Doom. Although they don’t want to classify it like that; they it is more like cruel and noisy ritualism.
“Malsanctum” is divided in 3 parts, “The Father”, “The Son” and “The Shattered Spirit” accompanied by musical obscenity in a form of ambient soundscapes and Blackened Funeral Doom. Absolutely not enjoyable for everyone and it was not meant to be if you ask me. For me, if uncomfortable was the aim for the creators…spot on! (Ricardo)
