A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

When Ukraine is mentioned as origin of a Black Metal act, I’m all ears because you never know if it is the Slavonic scene going stellar and atmospheric again.

With Barkasth you can ditch the thought of being a 100% in the vein of Drudkh as it is just unadulterated Black Metal, the more melodic kind combining certain melodies of the Greek, the Polish and their own Ukrainian scene.

On “Hear my Void”, just released a year after their debut album “Decaying”, you can hear traces of melodies and atmosphere that has similarities with Khors and Rotting Christ, executed in a way that keeps the listener interested the whole album, which I can only describe as a damn fine one.
