Info

There is exactly nothing at all on the internet about this new Black Metal act. It is completely unknown where it comes from and its musical origins. What is clear though, given the title, is that we are dealing here with Voidhand’s first release.

If the intention was to create a somewhat foggy and mystical image by being very sparing with the information, it is at least in line with the music. On this less than fifteen-minute demo, spread over six tracks (including intro and outro), their Black Metal is provided with an extremely oppressive, dark and dank sound. Everything is so deeply hidden away, as if it was recorded in an isolation cell in the deepest dungeons of a long forgotten Transylvanian castle. However, it is precisely in that suffocating sound that Voidhand’s charm lies, with the thick wall of riffs adding to it. The subcutaneous melodies, the sparse Dungeon Synth elements and, above all, the icy screams ultimately conclude the uneasy feeling the band gives you. Highly recommended!
