Info

The Asian scene possesses something truly special regarding the ancient spirit of Extreme Metal. With ‘Gates of Gehenna’, Tomb released an EP that ticked all the boxes and managed to combine certain aspects of the late 80s and early 90s, making it entirely their own.

On this EP, they shift direction by allowing a more primitive approach into their Black/Death Metal. It’s no wonder they’ve had their logo adapted to a copy of Singapore’s finest; Abhorer. The Beherit section from the previous EP is still strongly present; throw in a hefty dose of Bestial influences, Mystifier, Abhorer… and you’ll get a good idea of how Tomb sounds today.

Yet, they haven’t forgotten their mystical influences from the previous EP, which is clearly audible on ‘Occult Eternal Mysteries’, with the use of synths and accompanying leads.

Sixteen minutes of Malaysian high-calibre blasphemy…there’s no reason not to get your hands on this EP.
