Info

Mag Tuired. It sounds quite Irish, doesn’t it? And with the artwork cover—a dilapidated watchtower overlooking a rocky beach and sea—it only intensifies that gut feeling. Now, little to nothing is actually known about Mag Tuired, but they appear to hail from the USA. And that’s where the information stops…

The demo was first released on cassette by Ancient Heart Records, after which Pile of Heads Productions took it upon themselves to also release it on 7″.

As a listener, you’re hit with three excellent riff-driven raw Black Metal tracks featuring sharp icy melodies. It sounds familiar, and Mag Tuired’s Black Metal comes across just as the cover looks, but above all, everything is well-executed.

Undoubtedly a successful demo, and despite the unknown surrounding Mag Tuired, even in terms of news, I hope this isn’t immediately the final chapter.
