Info

Started back in 2010 as Curse Upon Prayer, the addition of “a” within the band-moniker resulted in the start of their releases which includes 1 demo and 2 full-lengths. After the “Rotten Tongues” full-length, the second full-length, the anonymous Finnish Infidels started writing new material which causes the realisation of 3 new tracks for this EP.

The Black Metal has variation in speed (be it up- and mid-tempo) and has melodic hooks, especially when you hear the opening track “Let Thy Kingdom Come!”. That particular song is fierce yet catchy and is accompanied with a venomous vocal performance. It all sounds more like the Swedish scene, for example Naglfar’s “Harvest”, than their own Finnish scene and personally I don’t have any problem with that.

After a couple of spins I have to say it is an enjoyable EP when it comes to the melodic hooks as not all the mid-tempo parts are all that exciting. Quite curious how the next album will turn out. (Ricardo)
