When Old School Death Metal is at stake, or the mixture of Death Metal and Doom Metal, France doesn’t pop in mind as one of the leading countries. Not in history and not at this moment. This doesn’t mean there aren’t any good acts releasing their ominous music. Atavisma is one of them. If you can imagine early Incantantion would have a jam-session playing old Nihilist tunes, you will get close to this 4-track demo. The production is sinister and unpolished, and it will be no surprise to you that it fits perfectly.
