Info

Brazil and Black Metal. An unholy alliance since the first wave. Amen Corner saw its existence in 1992 and got a deal with the illustrious Cogumelo Records at the beginning of their career, resulting in a debut album called ‘Fall, Ascension, Domination’ and a EP prior to ‘Iachol Ve Tehilá’ which saw the light via the same historic label in 1995.

On ‘Iachol Ve Tehilá’ you will hear the bastard child of Samael, Varathron and Rotting Christ, without the glorius Hellenic sound. So it is less majestic, but it has the typical Rotting Christ / Varathron Black Metal riffs and doomy atmosphere of old Samael written all over it.

A good listen for those who is intrigued by the description and haven’t heard of Amen Corner before, or for the ones who have a warm nostalgic feeling for the old recordings of this Brazilian act.
