Info

If bands were architecture…Amber Tears would be the ruins of an old Gothic cathedral…with riffs like soaring arches, melodies like stained glass mosaics and the overwhelming sense of the familiar. In fact that is quite literally the only complaint I have about this album. I feel like I may have heard it before.

This is not to say it isn’t good, quite the opposite. It is very good, it took me back to the very first time I played “Arcane Rain Fell” by Draconian…or the first time I heard Evoken. No new ground is broken…but…it is doom and gloom at its very finest and I wouldn’t be surprised if they become ascendant very quickly. (TravisN)
