Info

Peruvian’s Mortem is back with a mighty vengeance. Their 4th output is one that will crush your skull and break your neck. Mortem is a band that just breaths oldschool death metal. They manage to mix elements of thrash, death and black in such a way it takes you back when death metal sounded evil, twisted and unexplored, but at the same time they sound like a new demon on the block. De Natura Daemonum is an album that is faster and “tighter” than their previous output Decomposed by Possession. Still the authentic old feeling remains the same and that is what make bands like these my favourites. Thrashlike riffing and timing of the vocals, which vary from grunts, shouting and highpitched screams, twinlead guitars (!) and rumbling drums that all sounds, smells, looks and feels like the elder demons left their tombs to tell you their stories. Damn I’m wondering if the new Pentacle (next up) is in the same league. Buy or die. (JeffreyVDK)
