Info

“Flandriae” is the second full length album from Belgium’s Taranis. I had no idea what I was in for from this one man band!

The first track “Command and Kill” opens with choir chanting and orchestral chaos. And as the track states Taranis proceed to march over the listener with an 80’s metal assault. Taranis create a classic feel in the vein of Bathory and Venom, but with the grim vocals of Björn there is a separation from the past with a more modern vocal approach. The production is clear yet raw. The tracks seamlessly drive forward and contain no flashy filler.

“Flandriae” is 9 tracks of fist banging blasphemies sure to attract the old school and has plenty of fresh approach for the new.
