BAM, in your face!! These new 12” EP of Israeli Sonne Adam is sounding like it was recorded in England somewhere around 1990. This is how Paradise Lost should sound and not that queerly pop sounding shit. But with this comparison I do no right to what Sonne Adam presents on this album. They absolutely have their own characteristic sound and way of comping tracks. Listen to the song with the simply but damned right title ‘The Day I Chose to Rot’. This is pure death doom you hardly hear these days. Another masterpiece is the last track ‘Olam Belehavoth’. It starts with an hypnotising guitar riff and is pure doom. But the lyrics of these track are fascinating and obscure biblical. I will follow his call. The flames, a testimony of glory. The temple remains on the blood-red soil. Here he stands before you, the bringer of death. Israel and doom: a great combination and hopefully Sonne Adam will keep this eternal flame of death doom burning!!! (Martin)
