Deicide? Well, it’s better to borrow heavily from the best than to come up with something original that’s rubbish!
This is a solo project by Dan Swanö, who played every instrument himself and just got someone else, Andreas “Drette” Axelsson. in to handle the vocals. They’ve kept all the tracks under two minutes, but anyone who hears the opening riff of ‘The Desecration of Christ’ will be hooked instantly. It’s absolutely brutal!
They released a mini-CD called ‘Killing Christ’ before this, but I haven’t heard it yet. The song titles and songs itself are all killer, too – ‘Polterchrist’, ‘suseJ lliK ot tolP ehT (inverted instrumental)’, and ‘Angeldemon’. Brilliant stuff.
