A newcomer to Black Sun Records, hyped up to high heaven by Dutch Metal zine Aardschok. Well, since the Aardschok isn’t always right, I had to check this out for myself. But I’m eating my words because this band is genuinely original!

Delicious Death/Thrash with loads of old-school Metal influences, varied vocals, sometimes with some female vocals thrown in, and regular, but not excessive, violin parts that really grab you! A kind of Skyclad in a Death Metal outfit is a pretty fair description! From the first listen, I was already bellowing along, even though I didn’t know the lyrics. It even helped me study for my exam two days later.

Comparisons to other bands are almost impossible to make because this band sounds like a couple of bands and yet the overall sound is completely different! If you’re not hooked after 5 seconds of ‘Moonlight’, you should really ask yourself if you still know what good music sounds like. Other track titles include ‘Nectars of Eden’, ‘With Tears in my Eyes’, ‘Opacity’, and the 10-minute final track ‘Skunk hour’ (grin).

What more could you want than 9 tracks totalling a whopping 53 minutes of original, quality Metal?
