The in 2001 released ‘Tara’ is Absu’s last full length up to date. It’s also the last one of a trilogy based on old Celtic mythology. Absu changed more and more into an occult Thrash Metal band after the release of their debut ‘Barathrum V.I.T.R.I.O.L.’ in 1993.

As on each release the artwork, lyrics and concept are a perfect match. The music on ‘Tara’ is fast, aggressive and old school. Highlights are ‘Stone of Destiny’ (including Deep Purple alike screams) and ‘Pillars of Mercy’. I declare ‘Tara’ as Absu’s best effort up to date.

After this release the band split up and only drummer/vocalist Proscriptor remained. He armed himself with two new warriors to record the upcoming ‘Absu’, set for 2008. I’m curious, very curious,…
