Info

In the Viking mythology Urdabrunnen is the well of fate. On their second album the one-man band Fjellltrone from Linkoping (Sweden) mix dark ambient sounds, traditional northern Viking melodies of sadness and cruelty with 90´s Black Metal à la Burzum.

After listening to the album the first time I felt very uneasy. It took me a few days to listen to it a second time. After listening to the album a second time I still felt uneasy. The songs have such an emotional upsetting magic which is very hard to explain. The traditional melodies and sounds are so perfectly combined with the resurrected Burzum spirit that Fjelltrone can definitely be mistaken for any other band. (HaCeBo)
