Info

From capital Vilnius, Lithuania, comes Alcotopia with their debut “It Hits the Spot” full of Speed and Thrash Metal. Like the next guy, I am fond of some good old sleazy Speed/Thrash Metal, but Alcotopia cannot be described as that.

Maybe a youthful band who have listened to some Death Angel, mid-90s Megadeth, 90s Metallica, Overkill and the likes and trying to sound like that, but don’t have the right tools to achieve. For instance the guitarsound is far too clean and the vocalist could have a more raw edge to name 2 things that keeps bugging me during this album. Sorry guys, back to the drawing board if you ask me. (Ricardo)
