Venezuelan black metal horde Veldraveth returns after a 7 years hiatus with their 3. Album called „Malformations of God“. Fast paced black metal of death in the vein of Enthroned, Marduk to name a few. Technically skilled and mature in songwriting and experience, these guys know how they will sound: brutal and ugly! The vocalist grunts low the most of the time. Here and there you will find some good shrieks to double the vocals and give it a nice variation(wait until you hear the female vocals in the middle of the album with a surprising change(rock`n roll baby!). The longer the album gets the better it is. After 7 years a good „comeback“. The drums could have been less clicky, the real outstanding „hit-like-tracks“ are missing, sometimes the vocals are a bit generic but overall it`s a good album for an occasional spin. (DPF)
