Bezkres – Wściekłość pierwotnej natury [Demo]

bezkres – wściekłość pierwotnej natury [demo]

Info

Ever since the Polish scene burst forth with their radical and satanic circle ‘The Temple of Fullmoon,’ they’ve left an indelible mark on international Black Metal. Every time I come across a work from those latitudes, I’m 66% sure it’ll be a blasphemous delight!

This time, it’s Bezkres’ turn to review their debut demo. This band from Lubusz, a place many underground Black Metalers know as the birthplace of the mystical and ancient Profanum, presents two attacks that blew my mind. There’s a clean, visceral execution accompanied by scornful growls vomited in Polish. To the Latin ear, this listening experience is like a live exorcism. The music played by this new band is pure Polish Black Metal; some passages remind me of old Besatt. The bass on this recording has quite a presence, giving it that damned metallic nuance I look for in darkness materialized in music. The compositions were in the hands of Tytan, who handles all the devilish strings and vocals, while his partner Aroslav is in charge of the drums. I’ll digress to highlight one aspect of the recording and mixing I didn’t like very much: the sound of the snare and the compression on the kick drums. However, these details don’t dethrone the band’s cult and homage to old school Black Metal and its roots!

‘Wściekłość pierwotnej natury’ and ‘W mroczną stronę od Gieszczy Pustych’ are the only two attacks. Together, they reach 8 minutes in length and both have the same elements: hate, viscerality, speed, breaks, proclamations, fast and sharp guitars with rhythm changes, concatenating fast drums and marked times. I read that this demo will be present in a triple conspiracy with Hatefrost and Trenhell and will be edited by Hell is Here Production, so it seems to me that Bezkres will fulfill their contribution in a bestial way, and those who listen to this demo will know that! I am waiting for a full-length from this band since the two songs dismembered here were not enough.
