Info

Yes, we’ve got to deal with a scoop from Housecore Records. Indeed, the label created by Philip Anselmo, naturally know as frontman from Pantera and Down and his side projects Superjoint Ritual, Christ Inversion and some others. A split EP with the first solo music from P.Anselmo itself and two new tracks from American thrashers Warbeast. The EP titled “War of the Gargantuas” kicks off with “Conflict (Nerve meets bone)” from Anselmo which is a very aggressive song. As he mentions in the lyrics: ‘I’m a wounded animal…’, he didn’t lie, because the opening scream takes a bite in your face to never let go, because the entire track the heavy pounding voice and screeching riffs gets its teeth deeper into your flesh. Second track titled “Birth of a Psycho” is material from Warbeast, and shows in a way how a bands’ style still can evolve each moment. The intense rhythm section stands above all, and their instruments where raped when recording! This track is fast paced, intense, uptempo and from very high quality. Housecore Records has an eye for upcoming talent, and this band definitely is a win for the underground scene. Third track “Family, Friends, and Associates” is a title where the most important aspects in life are expressed according to mister Anselmo I assume. Again the deep/low but energetic voice from Anselmo is the thread in this song. Instrumentally you continue get banged in a positive way and you don’t give a fuck if the next minute it feels like they’re fisting you in a hard way. Yes, all holes in your body gets mutilated with the aggression that drips of this song… The final track again is from Warbeast and is titled “It”. This track is in the same style as the other one on this EP, so you again may expect a thrashy song that sounds furious, has the needed filthy riffs in it and is played fast to keep headbanging. If this is a little taste from what we can expect in 2013 from both Anselmo as Warbeast, then I’m ready for it! Are you???(Fredde)
