Nailgun Massacre – Boned, Boxed and Buried

Info

The fine gentlemen of Nailgun Massacre have one thing in common; they all think the human body is good for one purpose: the perfect element for creating a Jiggsaw Puzzle. Nothing wrong with having a hobby. But it seems these intimate encounters with the victims can go wrong once and a while. So what do you do if you have a band and support group in one near you…you share your problems. For example, which axe to use to decapitate the victim with one swing? Band member Corpsechucker only had a Slater’s axe nearby, but it took a couple of chops before the head flew through the air. And if you think that solved the problem… It seems the opening track “Where is the head?” is autobiographical. Always good to have your buddy Bonesaw on speed dial! “Boned, Boxed and Buried” is a good soundtrack for any perverted or sick dismemberment you are planning to do this weekend. It’s not a difficult album, no fancy riffs whatsoever…just plain and good old hackin’ and slashin’ Old School Death Metal. You hear a lot groove in the songs and while listening to these serenades o’ executions you will hear parts of Torture Killer (“I Bury the Hatched in Your Face”), Macabre (“Casket Full of Fun”), Autopsy and old Death. But don’t be surprised if you get a vibe of a certain gory Exhumed (and I don’t mean the Carcass inspiration of Exhumed) or general Razorback Records approach. The vocals are sick and twisted. Period. Just sick and twisted. A growl which sounds like someone got his throat sliced op and is gurgling blood and a growl which John Tardy would give two thumbs up. Not his own thumbs, but two thumbs in a bloody small decorative box…And also a more audible version of Sylvain Houde (ex-Kataklysm, the “Temple of Knowledge (Kataklysm Part III)” album) growl. Even narrating the lyrics as a confession of a serial-killer (no Gorefest pun intetend) during “Meat Locker” is spot on! Having plans to scrape some brains of the kitchen wall this evening? Why not support your actions with a subtle touch of musick on the background? (Ricardo)
