Khaos Dei – Tell Them Lucifer Was Here

Info

If I’m informed correctly, Khaos Dei from France appeared from out of nowhere. There was no physical proof of their existence, no demo, no website, no nothing. Yet, they seemed to be formed in 2013, drinking a bottle of Whiskey and sharing experiences which included bar fights. And those experiences are the foundation of this semi-melodic modern sounding Black Metal. The production and occasional militaristic drum pattern gives it a modern touch. Khaos Dei is more influenced by the early 2000 Scandinavian scene than their own France scene, which has more dissonant tunes. Besides Black Metal you will also hear these guys have previous encounters with Death Metal and Hardcore. There are also some symphonic twists to enhance the melodic atmosphere of this album. To make it complete there are also some kind of orchestral chants and French folk weaved into it. “Tell Them Lucifer Was Here” is a good one to start the journey of Khaos Dei. (Ricardo)
