Détente – Recognize No Authority [Re-release]

No Image Available

Info

This album was released back in 1986 by Metal Blade and Roadrunner Records. The Speed/Thrash/Crossover metal on “Recognize No Authority” is been considered as cult by some. This re-issue celebrates the 30th anniversary of the band and includes all demos plus two unreleased songs taken from live & rehearsal recordings, and the two Catalepsy demos, a side band from some members. You will hear well-known producer Ross Robinson (well-known if you are into the more modern stuff) on guitar and an impassioned front woman called Dawn Crosby (Fear of God). The Thrash is raw, typical leads, the Speed Metal provides some melody and the vocals give it a certain rough edge, yet also a punkish attitude. So yeah, 1980’s Crossover with ditto sound. And enjoyable. And as always, Xtreem Music presents everything with a lot of photos, flyers and liner notes. If you don’t have the original, pick this one up. (Ricardo)
