Death Strike – Fuckin’ Death [Re-Release]

death strike – fuckin’ death [re-release]

Info

Originally released in 1991, Vic Records has re-release the only studio album from American death metal band Death Strike. Nothing so special at first, but when looking at the line-up, the puzzle falls in place. All members have connection with the band Master, and also vocalist Paul Speckmann is the frontman for Death Strike. This album was created between the first two Master albums, so you could consider this a mini-project from Paul Speckmann himself, cause back in 1991 there was no mentioning of the other bands members in Master – they only joined after the millennium. I guess the whole idea after this album was the fact that in the days his main band didn’t get that much response as in the present time, so he started with something new.

Now the main question for people who don’t know this album: is the sound of Death Strike in the same line of Master? Nope, therefore there’s too many punk vibe ala Venom and a nice Motörhead connection inserted in the sound, and it doesn’t sound that aggressive and filthy, so it’s something totally different. It’s by the way not the first re-release from the album, in 2010 another label did this before, but then with some rehearsal versions added to the tracklist. On this version those rehearsal versions are removed, the only difference is the artwork and some added liner notes from Mister Speckmann himself. (Fredde)
