Deadnation – Following the Path of Death

deadnation – following the path of death

Info

Old School Death Metal from Brazil, which is exactly that! After having three singles, “Following the Path of Death” is the band’s first full-length debut.

Continuing the tradition from the Death Metal that one would hear from the earlier nineties time, primarily with the classic Swedish influences from bands like Entombed or Dismember, this new offering of deathly madness undoubtedly carries forth the HM-2 buzzsaw flag into battle! Without regret, this is evident that this is what Deadnation wants to do and is all about through and through. This debut release from Deadnation contains eight songs which in total is a little under thirty-five minutes. With heavy catchy riffs that crunch down breaking your teeth, along with semi-guttural vocals bellowing out from a demonic-like voice, they tell a story of horror and despair throughout. While mid tempo hooks charge on predominantly, they are sometimes accompanied by eerie leads adding to the mood. Quick bursts of blast beats can be heard here and there as well but are done minimally.

Even though, for the most part, nothing is new here by any means. However, this does not matter when it comes to doing things right and for fans or bands of the genre who simply worship this style and sound! Long live the old school! This is an awesome debut from Deadnation!
