Cardiac Arrest – A Parallel Dimension of Despair

cardiac arrest – a parallel dimension of despair

Info

What you get here is some rather bland Death Metal with a few Thrash elements.  None of the songs really stand out, with most moving in between different upbeat tempos, with a somewhat catchy groove here and there, but nothing really remarkable.  The generic, modern studio production does not help much, either.  The band probably makes for an energetic live experience, but seasoned Death Metal listeners will toss this among the less-visited CDs in their collection.  A Death Metal newbie who seeks something new but “old-school” might find this album engaging, but I would much rather just listen to a Death/Thrash album from the late 80s/ early 90s instead of this.
