Black Lycanthropy – For Satan’s Eternal Glory [Demo]

black lycanthropy – for satan’s eternal glory [demo]

Info

After the great self-released digital ‘Through Strength And Victory’ EP from spring last year, Infernal Werewolf, the only soul behind this American Black Metal act, returns with yet another offering of his almost perfectly crafted Raw Black Metal.

‘For Satan’s Eternal Glory’ sounds like a logical continuation of ‘Through Strength And Victory’, blending in some of the best elements of Black Metal from Sweden (Armagedda), Finland (Sargeist and Satanic Warmaster) and of those from his native US-scene. Sharp edged riffs with a touch of melancholy and mesmerizing melodies are laced over a foundation of predominantly fast paced drums. The howling vocals cut right through the bone and finished off the distinctly authentic sound, pretty much in line with early 00’s Black Metal. That even includes all the necessary scene aesthetics of a black and white cover, warpaint, vampirism and satanic imagery. This demo, clocking in at just over eight minutes, literally has it all, but the most important thing is that the two tracks are extremely well-composed and executed. The excellence of the black art of Infernal Werewolf is putting him right up there with the best in the genre. It’s also a stunning departure from his other band, Genocidal Rites, which, with their recently released EP via Hells Headbangers, was also well within my grasp. Needless to say, this comes highly recommended!
