Benefactor Decease – Anatomy of an Angel

Info

In November 2015 the debut full-length album titled ‘Anatomy of an Angel’ was release by Greek thrashers Benefactor Decease. Thrash metal is their cup of tea, and if you like fast and straight-forward thrash metal with a modern touch, then this could be your kind of music. But I have to be honest, cause nothing new or exciting will be discovered here, unfortunately this album hasn’t left a great impression behind. The production is neat, however I find that there’s some kind of distortion on the guitars that keeps on coming back and gives me a bad taste and a big frown. Sometimes they try to insert some variation in their sound, like the funny bass loop in the title track, the spoken words in ‘Chronicles of a Paraphiliak’ and the long duration of song ‘Abandonment to the Hanger’. Also a crossover-style has been added in these 10 tracks, but as stated above…nothing new, just an average thrash metal album, but perhaps you’ll find it worth to check out. (Fredde)
