Its have been a while since Verminous created some blasphemous tones to support the unholy crusade and spread darkness around the globe. Ten fuckin years to be more precise, although the band was on hiatus between 2004 and 2010 because of the hearing problems of Linus “Germaniac” Björklund. Otherwise the gap between the two albums would be less, I assume. Nevertheless, “The Unholy Communion” is a hell of a comeback! Filthy and putrid Old School Death Metal baptized in a pool of infernal morbidity. Do I hear a “Hell Yeah!!”? If you are familiar with their debut, you would know these guys are from Sweden but are not playing the famous Stockholm-Death Metal in the vein of Dismember and Entombed. Its more in the vein of Repugnant (riff and production wise), Kaamos (brutality), and a more recent band, Degial (darkness). Old School Death Metal with Thrash and Black edges you cant go wrong with this one. (Ricardo)
