Valgrind – Seal of Phobos [EP]

valgrind – seal of phobos [ep]

After releasing a handful of demo’s and two full-length albums, the Italian band Valgrind returned in begin 2017 with a new EP titled ‘Seal of Phobos’. Five songs can be discovered on this disc and it smells and tastes like death metal with some melodic parts inserted into their sound and a big touch of technical creativity. In track “New Born Deceit” the tempo continues on a high speed level where the drums take a prominent place into the track, along with the guttural voice. When “Traitors Will Bleed” comes out of my speakers my head started banging along without control of it, and also the vocals from Daniele Lupidi take another path cause here he sings a bit cleaner. Hell yeah, there’s definitely potential in this band! The keyboards on track “Ekphora’s Day” are the big element in the intro, but when all instruments jump in; the cohesion fits perfectly and makes me conclude this is a very good EP. Go check this one out! (Fredde)
