Tyrant Goatgaldrakona (what a fucking mouthful of a name that is!) are a Death Metal duo from Hungary who have been very limited in releases over the decade since forming in 2009. With just one full length album, 2013’s “Horns in the Dark” and a pair of EPs, they have seen it fit to vomit forth to the underground a new EP titled “Marquis of Evil” via Blood Harvest Records.
The two-tracks presented on this putrid 7″ are “Conspiracy with Marquis” and “The Seventh Throne”, both of which are bestial and raw sounding Death Metal. The riffs have a primitive and barbaric approach, pummeling the listener into submitting to the dark forces that lurk in the shadows. Tyrant Goatgalddrakona seem to have two preferences of assault, mid-pace neck breaking and bullet speed razor riffs. There is no stopping the bulldozer drum blasting and skin shredding guitar tremolo. Prepare for full audial assault on all fronts. This is demonic Death Metal.
My only complaint would be that I want more! Two songs is not enough! I hope Tyrant Goatgaldrakona do not wait another four years before dropping more morbid Death Metal on our heads.
