Nihili Locus – Lyaeus Nebularum

nihili locus – lyaeus nebularum

Once started as Omicidio back in 1989 and changed the name into Nihili Locus in 1991; these Italians has more years of existence than musical items. Terror from Hell Records combined 3 releases in one compilation, a compilation of melancholic and slightly atmospheric Extreme Metal. You will hear tracks with all kind of Black, Death and Doom Metal references, although it is leaning far more towards Death and Doom, especially during their first recordings.

This compilation beholds the “Sub Hyerosolyma” EP (1992), the “…Advesperascit…” demo (1994) and the “…Ad Nihilum Recidunt Omnia” EP (1996), of which all could be released by Holy Records and Adipocere Records back in the 1990s. Although not sensational or a must buy, it does have that typical 1990s sound and charm which make this compilation a fun listen. (Ricardo)
