Nazrak – Cantiques funèbres

nazrak – cantiques funèbres

After a self-released EP simply called “Nazrak” in 2016, Wolfspell Records offered the Black Metal act from France the opportunity to release their debut full length as a member of their rooster. And so “Cantiques funèbres” saw the light of day…

Like many bands on the Wolfspell Records, Nazrak has some melody mixed in their Black Metal, be it through riffs or the use of the keyboard. “Cantiques funèbres” has a mid-1990s vibe going on although I hear slight Darkestrah similarities during the up-tempo parts combined with the vocals as well. If you cassettes are your go-to format, Death Kvlt Productions released this album as a part of a box set as well. With “Cantiques funèbres” Rvagnirr and Alderaan created a typical Wolfspell Records album if you ask me, not outstanding or groundbreaking but without doubt a solid one. (Ricardo)
