Krisiun – Scourge of the Enthroned

krisiun – scourge of the enthroned

The unholy trinity from Brazil, the Demonic III, all pulverizing Death Metal packed with blastbeats, tremolo picking and deep grunts. Krisiun went to a more versatile style since “Assassination” and found its peak on the latest effort “Forged in Fury”. More groove, less bashing and complex structures. This time on “Scourge of the Enthroned” the fury is higher and the faster old school parts of the band are more present, without losing the groove at all. The song writing just became better and everyone in the band shows more variety than ever before. All trademarks are here, so this is a typical Krisiun album, cementing their position as one of the most consistent bands in the genre. This time just more brutal and still catchy and groovy at the same time. Excellent, nothing more to add. (DPF)
