None of the contributors picked this one up, so I give it a try myself. Eruption from Slovenia isn’t something I expect from Xtreem Music, although I witnessed the small changes in the rooster myself throughout the years. Not everything is über Brutal anymore and Eruption is a good example of that. Or starting a sublabel called Fighter Records is even a better example. But back to Eruption…you will get some Technical and slightly melodic Thrash Metal which sounds very promising. While listening to “Cloaks of Olbivion” the influences by early Nevermore, Sanctuary, Heathen, Annihilator and even Megadeth are fired at you by a firing squad. The riffs, the rhythm section, the melodies…very well played. The only setback for me personally are the vocals of Klemen “Buco” Kalin, as they are getting way to close to Warrel Dane (Nevermore, Sanctuary) and I’m not a fan. Although I reckon the uniqueness, let’s say it is a typical love or hate thing. If you are a fan of Warrel Dane and his vocal lines and range, you should definitely check this one out. You will be sorry if you didn’t….(Ricardo)
